Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme
  • ½ teaspoon salt (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In a medium bowl, add 16 ounces of sliced mushrooms, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of grated parmesan, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of minced fresh thyme, ½ teaspoon of salt (optional), and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Toss well to coat all mushrooms evenly with the seasoning.
  2. Air fry mushrooms: Place the coated mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single, even layer to ensure proper cooking.
  3. First air fry cycle: Air fry the mushrooms at 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes to start the cooking process and begin browning.
  4. Shake basket: After 5 minutes, shake the air fryer basket to redistribute the mushrooms for even cooking.
  5. Second air fry cycle: Continue air frying for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and cooked through to your liking.

Notes

  • Be sure to arrange mushrooms in a single layer to promote even cooking and browning.
  • If your air fryer basket is small, cook mushrooms in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  • Fresh thyme adds a bright herbal note; dried thyme can be used if fresh is unavailable but reduce quantity by half.
  • Adjust salt according to your taste and dietary needs.
  • These mushrooms pair well as a side to grilled meats or tossed into salads and pasta dishes.
