This refreshing Iced Cherry Chai latte is a delightful blend of classic chai tea concentrate with a creamy, homemade cherry-flavored cold foam topping. Perfect for spring, this Starbucks-inspired drink combines the spicy warmth of chai with the sweet tartness of cherry syrup, finished with a garnish of crushed freeze-dried cherries for an invigorating treat.

Ingredients

Cherry Cream Cold Foam

  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 ½ tablespoons cherry syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk

Iced Cherry Chai

  • ½ cup chai tea concentrate
  • ½ cup milk of choice (2% recommended)
  • ½ teaspoon freeze-dried cherries, crushed
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Make the Cherry Cream Cold Foam: In a small glass or container, combine 3 tablespoons heavy cream, 1 ½ tablespoons cherry syrup, and 1 tablespoon whole milk. Use a milk frother to whip the mixture for 20-30 seconds until it becomes fully whipped and frothy. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Iced Cherry Chai: Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour in ½ cup chai tea concentrate followed by ½ cup of your milk of choice, ideally 2% milk for a creamy texture.
  3. Assemble the Drink: Gently dollop the prepared cherry cream cold foam on top of the iced chai mixture. Finish by sprinkling ½ teaspoon of crushed freeze-dried cherries over the foam for a vibrant, fruity garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut or almond milk and substitute heavy cream with coconut cream.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of cherry syrup according to taste.
  • Ensure the milk frother is clean before use to achieve the best foam texture.
  • The freeze-dried cherries add both flavor and an attractive garnish, but can be omitted if unavailable.
