These refreshing Watermelon Ice Pops are a perfect summer treat made with fresh watermelon, lime juice, and a touch of honey. Naturally sweet and hydrating, they are easy to make and ideal for cooling down on a hot day.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare Watermelon: Chop 4 cups of fresh watermelon into pieces suitable for blending.
  2. Add Lime Juice: Slice a lime in half and squeeze the fresh juice into the blender with the watermelon.
  3. Add Sweetener: Measure and add 2 tablespoons of honey to the blender for natural sweetness.
  4. Blend Mixture: Blend the watermelon, lime juice, and honey together for about 1 minute until smooth.
  5. Strain Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a sieve to remove pulp and seeds for a smoother texture.
  6. Fill Molds: Pour the strained liquid into 6 ice pop molds or ice pop bags, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
  7. Freeze: Place the filled molds in the freezer for at least 6 hours until fully frozen.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a few fresh mint leaves before blending.
  • Use honey sparingly or substitute with agave syrup or maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • If you don’t have ice pop molds, small paper cups with popsicle sticks work as alternatives.
  • To speed up freezing, use a shallow container to increase surface area.
  • Make sure not to overfill the molds to prevent spilling as the liquid expands during freezing.
